Anumita Sarkar is a Strategic Development and Partnership Officer at the Centre for Communication Governance at the National Law University, Delhi. At CCG, she works across various functions in research, strategy, partnership development, fundraising, cross-functional collaboration, planning, and stakeholder engagement.
Before joining CCG, she worked with various organizations and has diverse experience in Law practice, Compliance, Product Management, Publishing, and Information Services in the legal and tax domains. She has also worked on various consulting engagements with nonprofit organizations, early-stage startups, Tech4good companies, and social entrepreneurs, and has extensive experience in market research and analysis, advisory, strategic planning and development, product and competitor analysis, business development, CSR Partnerships, communication and outreach strategy, go-to-market strategy.
Anumita has experience working across various thematic areas including anti-corruption, business and human rights, gender and women empowerment, child rights, mental health, and education. She is currently a Mentor under a mentorship program. Previously, she served as an Advisory Board Member of Kartavyam (With Trust), a nonprofit organization advocating for socio-legal issues. She has worked with Atma - An Accelerator for Education NGOs and Social enterprises in India. Atma provides strategic consulting support to education NGOs and works in all organizational development areas. At Atma, she handled market research, organisational strategy, legal and policy projects, and co-led a child safeguarding policy project.
She collaborates with various nonprofit organizations and industry bodies. She is currently a Council Member of the Delhi External Affairs Council, Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI), Member of the Anti-corruption Collective Action Working Group (ACCA WG), UN Global Compact Network India (UN GCNI), and a Global Member (APAC) & India Delhi Chapter Member of Internet Society, and a Member of AIMA Young Leaders Council, All India Management Association (AIMA). She is also a member of Impact Consulting Delhi, a local hub of Impact Consulting, a global community of consultants providing strategic consulting to social impact organisations.
Anumita is a graduate of B.A. (Hons.) Sociology from Miranda House College, Delhi University, a Law graduate from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University, holds a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Mass Communication from Bhavan’s Rajendra Prasad Institute of Communication & Management, Delhi Campus, and a Specialized Certificate in Strategic Management under the MicroMasters Program, Business Management, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), and various other academic and professional certifications, and training in the field of entrepreneurship, strategy, organizational leadership, strategic communication, and partnership building from national and international institutions. She has completed a Faculty Development Program (FDP) in CSR law and practices, strategic engagements, and implementation of CSR initiatives through social media from the FORE School of Management, New Delhi.
