Oxford Price Media Moot Court Competition 2025

The Centre for Communication Governance at National Law University Delhi (CCG NLUD) and the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights, Faculty of Law at the University of Oxford, organised the fifteenth edition of the South Asia Rounds of the Price Media Law Moot Court Competition from February 6 - 9, 2025, virtually. 

The Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot Court Competition began in 2008 at the University of Oxford to foster an interest in issues concerning media law, communication technologies, and freedom of expression. Since then, participation and diversity has increased in the competition, and the competition now hosts rounds in different regions around the world like South Asia, Asia-Pacific, South East Europe, North East Europe, Middle East, Africa and the Americas. CCG NLUD has been hosting the South Asia rounds of the Price Media Moot since 2013.

This year, twenty-six teams participated in the memorial rounds of the South Asia Rounds and twelve teams qualified to the oral rounds. Seven teams from the South Asia Rounds qualified for the International Rounds which will take place in-person at the University of Oxford from 21-25 April 2025.

The results of the moot are as follows:

Overall Winner - National Law University Delhi, India

Overall Runner-up - National Law University Odisha

Best Memorial - National Law University Delhi, India

Runners Up Memorial - Jindal Global Law School

Best Oralist (Preliminary Rounds) - Gauri Sidana (National Law University Delhi, India)

Runner Up Oralist (Preliminary Rounds) - Kashish Jumani (National Law University Delhi, India)

Best Oralist in the Final - Gauri Sidana (National Law University Delhi, India)
