Centre for Communication Governance at National Law University, Delhi and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) jointly organised a virtual stakeholder consultation on the Supreme Court of India's draft 'Regulations for Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Courts, 2026' on June 16, 2026. 

The discussion brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including researchers, legal practitioners, representatives from civil society organizations, and members of law firms. The discussion unpacked how the justice system can harness the benefits of AI without compromising on judicial legitimacy, due process, and fairness.
